Christina GaliotoBeing a model and traveling the world is a rewarding experience. However, with such a busy schedule, it can be easy to get lost in the hustle and bustle that is everyday life.  It can be easy to get lost in the moment without truly enjoying it. Noticing this within her own life, Christina Galioto decided to change for the better. Christina decided that it was time to become more mindful in how she lives her everyday life. Forgiving Imperfections
Mindfulness is all about being present in the moment. That means taking the time to truly accept the moment for what it is. It’s not about changing but more so about acceptance. In this moment of mindfulness, Christina takes the time to truly let go and move on from things that she knows she cannot change. This helps her to release the feelings of the past to have a better focus on the present.

Listening Intently
It’s impossible to rush and listen at the same time. You may hear, but listening is the ability to hear and comprehend. We miss out on a lot when we tune out our surroundings. Mindfulness starts with listening to intently to your surroundings and those you love. You will not only become more mindful of yourself but of the world around you.

Seeking new experiences
Never be afraid to challenge yourself. Be open to new experiences and accepting new challenges. Christina is a natural thrill seeker. She loves telling the story of skydiving over the red rocks of Arizona. It’s in those adrenaline-rush-filled moments that you truly become alive. Your senses awaken and you become fully present in the moment.

Meditating regularly
There isn’t a greater practice in learning mindfulness than meditation.  Simply taking 5-10 minutes of your day to just sit still and reflect internally can go a long way in helping your stress levels, health, and productivity for the rest of the day. It’s like setting a reset button on your mind.
